HOUSING AND INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTAL ACOUSTICS

In accordance with the substantial change introduced by the O.P.C.M. law of 14/11/1997, within the framework regulation n°447/1995 and its subsequent amendments and supplements, we carry out the building passive acoustic analysis, we draw up plans and we execute conformity tests of the acoustic requirements of the buildings.

The advantage of working with us lays in the fact that we provide a whole integrated project and draw up, in this way, a clear, coherent and complete building design. The structural choices are validated by our heating insulation designer and our acoustic insulation expert. If discrepancies arise, the design is revised until it is coherent.

In particular, in the recent years both our clients and Municipalities are increasingly sensible to building acoustics.
According to the Italian national law, every new building constructed in a certain area of a town, must keep the acoustical characteristics that are set for that area. Furthermore, at the same time, the acoustic insulation against outside noise must be provided for the building's future owners (either families or professionals).

The first and most important step is the preliminary evaluation of the building acoustic impact.
In order to do so, at first we consider all acoustic sources in the proximity of the new building. Afterwards, we calculate the new acoustic sources in view of the new building construction.
For example, amongst others we consider the external conditioning system.

Once the acoustic evaluation report is completed and the existing and new acoustic sources have been taken into account, we verify the sound level and its compliance with the limits set for that area.
For instance, the acoustic limits are both applied to the noise level of each noise source, and to the overall noise level. At the same time, they need to verify that differential levels are within the established limits (differential levels are the result of the difference between the planned continuous noise level and the actual residual noise level, once all noise sources are off).

In case of non-compliance of one of the above-mentioned levels, the acoustic insulation expert indicates which correcting interventions must be carried out in order to make levels compliant with the acoustic regulations.
Therefore, the engineer will determine the building acoustic shields that must be installed together with other noise-reduction systems. Furthermore, the acoustic insulation expert will adopt specific solutions during the installation of new sound sources in order to reduce noise emissions.

Among the services provided, there are also industrial acoustic renewal, that we carry out by means of machine noise level analysis, and the related design to reduce their noise level.
