SECTOR DESIGN: HOSPICE RENOVATION AND NEW HOSPICE BUILDINGS

A niche and profitable activity of our Engineers' Office is the renovation of buildings dedicated to healthcare and welfare activities.
An example is a care home for elderlies and disabled people. The design of such building is very peculiar, as the existing law imposes more restrictions than a civil building. Moreover, since the very early stages of the building design, it is necessary to foresee any possible upgrade and change, at the minimum additional cost.

An assessment of the building structure starts with an inspection, which must be carried out on the spot and in the presence of the client, in order to:

  1. determine the complex layout to realize/modify;
  2. Analyze the existing restrictions;
  3. study the municipal and regional laws;
  4. evaluate the plant equipment and the related costs;
  5. draw up the final report, once the design has been agreed on;
  6. obtain the permissions to build.
